Logging
Loggers create creative solutions for problems others call impossible.
Cable Logging
When the terrain is too steep, our Yarder crews rise to the occasion. Our expert Landing and Rigging teams, equipped with cork boots and tin hats, tackle challenging units and steep ground that machinery can't access. The Rigging crew will head over the hill on foot to retrieve the logs. Whether it's the Thunderbird Yarder managing large-scale operations or the agile John Deere Yoder for more compact tasks, we possess the versatility and know-how to handle any logging unit that crosses our path.
Mechanised Logging
Our skilled operators are masters at safely and efficiently extracting log units, employing a precise and environmentally conscious approach. They navigate their equipment expertly across challenging terrain, ensuring minimal environmental impact. Within the unit, our experienced operators adeptly utilize loaders and processors to efficiently extract timber and transport it to the landing. At the landing site, the timber undergoes precise processing, meticulous sorting, and efficient loading.
Processing & Trucking
When the logs arrive at the landings, our Processors and Loaders swiftly go to work. They meticulously sort and cut the logs to meet the required lengths and load specifications. A single job can yield a variety of log types, which must be organized by length, quality, and species. Operators efficiently arrange these logs in decks, optimizing space, and safety for the crews working below the hill all while ensuring loading efficiency. Subsequently, they work with dispatch to coordinate the arrival of log trucks for loading and shipping to the appropriate mills for the best prices.
Falling & Other Prep
Prior to commencing a job, we contract falling crews, including both hand fallers and mechanized methods, to cut the timber. We maintain close collaboration with fellow loggers to establish optimal fall layouts for subsequent operations. Additionally, we conduct various preparatory tasks tailored to the specific logging requirements, such as constructing landings, enhancing road infrastructure for secure log truck transportation, and formulating comprehensive unit strategies to maximize the harvest yields in the safest ways possible.
If it was easy, everyone would do it.
The Results: Sustainable natural resources and healthy forest for generations to come
